Women in their many forms

I would love to post an entry about the awesome experience of doing an arts festival, but I have to talk about this first. I have had a very eclectic day full of different women. Some days just have sad, amazing, scary, but overall reflective endings, and today is one of those.

We have let so much go, our little Knutson family. First of all the car that's almost ours requires much just to get the tags renewed. After a trip to south Atlanta to get tags renewed, I realized I hadn't done an emissions test, and I wasn't driving the car that needed it. %?*$@!! That's enough of that. I discovered I could renew online (what a shmuck I am) and now it is the day that the tags must be renewed and I am just now getting that stuff done.

Both Josiah and I are pooped from this festival weekend, we took it easy this morning and then I proceeded to get us ready for a quick emissions test and grocery shopping. Josiah did not like this, he was cranky, tired and stubborn. It's not fun to deal with. Especially after having a live in nanny for a couple days.
We're driving to the nearest emissions place and I realized i had to quickly get over. I zoom-zoomed a bit and got over. I didn't make the person behind me happy, but it wasn't dangerous in an Atlanta driver situation. She blew her horn, I deserved it. I had pulled into the emissions place and started my transaction when the pissed off driver appeared in my window. She yelled at me for a good 5 minutes, "I have two babies in the car!! You might not care about your baby but don't go cutting people off and endangering my children!!" She used some colorful language to describe what "I was". All I did was softly say I'm sorry, looking her right in the face. I was shocked but not afraid. She was obviously a woman, just like me, who had had a hard morning. But I must say I was replaying things I would have said to her if I was less Christian-like. hehe.
