Beautiful Things

It will be a beautiful thing if I can figure out Movable Type 4 and load more pics onto my sidebar. Maybe the month of July will have to be naked for now.

Katie in July

July has kicked me in the pants and left me in cycles of frantic busy-ness and sitting around waiting for stuff to happen. Thankfully, God is with our family and we are trying to listen for His voice. A visit from the Kirk's, a bike trip across Iowa, Kindergarten Prep, and Teaching for the fall all come snowballing down toward my beloved beach trip. I love being busy though, and I'll miss my husband terribly as he bikes across Iowa.

Joel's My Man

Joel is wrapping up neighborhood responsibilities, over time at work, and preparing to go on the biggest trip he's had for a while, RAGBRAI. He's already missing us, which makes me sorta happy. But most of all July has brought Joel a keen sense of what God is doing in him and in the world. He's also excited that VW has come to Chattanooga.

Little Boy July

"I took my Kindergarten quizzes and did great. The teacher made me problem solve, and ya know that's what I do as a super-hero. I'm nurturing a wiggly tooth up front, so who knows, next time you see me I might have a gappy mouth!"

"My brother and I have a great time giggling and being goofy together. It drives Mama and Papa nuts sometimes. I'm getting to be more of a team player and reasoning better instead of whining. Although when I lose my dollies little shoes I tend to wimper like a puppy without ceasing."

Big Gap

I promised myself I wouldn't blog a ton while I was at the beach, but this event cannot be missed! Josiah lost his front tooth yesterday! Whatta great new big boy smile!
